About Condom Sense Condom Sense was founded in 1990 in Dallas, during a time when conversations about sex, safety, and health were clouded by fear and stigma. Following Magic Johnson’s public HIV-positive announcement, awareness of the AIDS epidemic surged — but education and access were still limited. In response, Condom Sense opened its doors as Dallas’s first safe sex store, # 1 goal in mind: to educate, protect, and empower the community. Over the years, Condom Sense has evolved, but its heart remains the same.
